Successful conference in Uppsala co-organized by AISCAF

4-5 September 2026, 65 researchers from different countries and universities gathered in Uppsala for the fourth edition of the Wages, Employment and Inequality conference.

Over two intensive days, participants presented and discussed current research on labour markets, wage formation, and economic inequality.

Anna Salomons from Universiteit Utrecht School of Economics and Simon Jäger from Princeton University delivered keynote lectures. Lena Hensvik and Alexander Willén were invited speakers.

The conference provided an excellent opportunity for researchers to exchange ideas, discuss new findings, and strengthen international collaborations.

The conference was organised by the Uppsala Center for Labour Studies and AISCAF at Uppsala University and the Finnish Centre of Excellence in Tax Systems Research, VATT Institute for Economic Research, in Helsinki, with generous support from Handelsbankens forskningsstiftelser.
